According to a report released by The Innovolve Group in late 2010, two of every three nations will be “water stressed” by the year 2025. Addressing this mounting reality and the myriad issues that go with it is opening doors for innovative technologies designed to make the most of the Earth’s prescious water resources.
More fortunate than most nations, Canada has about nine per cent of the Earth’s accessible freshwater and just one per cent of the Earth’s population. But the study says even Canadians will grapple with significantly higher costs for H2O amid growing competition for potable water as industrial and consumer requirements continue to rise.
