The third annual competition identified 12 leading Smart Grid companies as Companies to Watch after nearly 7,000 readers voted online.
“It is an honor to be named a Smart Grid Company to Watch by the Smart Grid News, especially since the competition was judged by our peers,” said Ron Dizy, President and CEO, ENBALA Power Networks. “We’ve built a solid foundation for our innovative Demand-Side Management solution, and we look forward to building on that this year and delivering on the expectations the Smart Grid community has for ENBALA and that we have for ourselves.”
ENBALA was nominated for the award based on its Smart Grid platform, which connects demand-side loads to the electric grid in real-time to balance supply and demand.
The company’s Smart Grid solution improves the efficiency and stability of the regional electricity system and the market’s ability to integrate renewable power generation. It also creates a new and continuous revenue stream for large electricity users and reduces greenhouse gas emissions by increasing the efficiency of the electricity system.
ENBALA has completed successful Smart Grid demonstration projects, been approved for commercialization by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), connected its first demand-side loads to the Smart Grid and continues to build its client base so its network will be able to create a greener, more efficient and resilient Smart Grid.
