One Drop has special consultative status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), and has received international recognition from the United Nations (United Nations award for best sector practices), the International Water Association (award for innovation), and the International Water Resource Association (award for innovation).

XPV also sponsors the Enactus World Water Race event, where teams of students from around the world compete to determine which team has the most sustainable and positive impact with addressing water and or sanitation challenges. A global organization whose name stands for “entrepreneurs in action,” Enactus challenges and involves thousands of entrepreneurial-minded university college students to focusing talents, abilities, and passion on solving global sustainability goals — and become the next generation of leaders and champions of global water.
